Amsterdam, September 1st, 2005. Nikon has given the stylish
COOLPIX range a makeover with the launch of its sexy, sassy S3
compact digital camera in Platinum silver, Ivory white and Matt
black. Sales start in September 2005 at a price of xxx Euro.*
The COOLPIX S3 is sleek and hip, with a stunning performance
to match its incredible looks, making it ideal for people who
want to take pictures anytime, anywhere. It packs 6 megapixels
into its slim 19.7mm deep frame, a large, bright 2.5-inch LCD
monitor and a powerful 35-105mm 3x Zoom-Nikkor ED lens.
Destined
to be a must-have icon, the COOLPIX S3 comes in three cool
colours to suit the user’s individual taste and style.
A host of
exclusive features add to the experience, with easy to use
in-camera tools that let the user make the most of their
shots. There’s a D-Lighting function to rescue shots with
insufficient exposure, a clever Face-priority AF feature that
automatically detects the presence of a human face to ensure
sharp focus and automatic Red-eye Fix. On top of these, the handy
Blur Warning function lets the user know if camera shake has
affected a shot so they can take it again before it is too late.
Using a single rechargeable EN-EL8 battery, the COOLPIX S3 can
take up to 190 shots. It starts up in less than a second and
can perform continuous shooting at 1.6 frames per second.
Point and shoot even underwater. The COOLPIX S3 has 17 Scene
Modes - four with Scene Assist - including an Underwater Scene
Mode, which means users can take photographs while snorkeling
or scuba diving. All it needs is the handy optional Waterproof
Case WP-CP5.
