She
was born in Smyrna. She takes courses of painting with
Pavlos Mathiopoulos in Athens and she begins to photograph.
In 1926 she graduates from the faculty of volunteers
of nurses of Red Cross where she offers also her services
for a lot of years. With the various missions of Red
Cross she travelled around all Greece, she photographs
as a personal way of expression but also as testimony
for what she lives. It is a precious recording of the
disasters that found Greece and its population at that
period. But she also takes photographs of a Greece that
has been lost permanently, with a glance of a tender
person that cares about his fellowman and does not only
record his pain but also comforts him.
In 1971 gave away her photographic archive in the National
Art gallery.
